Construction Assistant

About This Role

This Construction Assistant role supports project managers in successfully completing projects and assignments within HITT's Industrial group. The position involves organizing project documentation, preparing meeting and pricing packages, distributing information, and managing operation and maintenance manuals. It supports a newly awarded industrial campus and is suitable for a self-motivated and organized individual.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Project Manager
• Communicate daily with Project Management staff, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
• Ensure effective communication, consistent quality of work products, and timely delivery of documentation
• Tailor communication style to be clear, concise, and professional for the appropriate audience

Requirements

• Four-year degree from an accredited university is preferred
• Prior experience with a professional organization with a proven track record of accountability, professionalism, and organization skills is preferred
• Self-motivated and proactive – takes initiative and seeks responsibility
• Experience with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft-based software
• Software proficiency – able to adapt to and learn how to use sector-, project-, and specific software systems, including but not limited to ProCore, Primavera P6, Adobe, and BlueBeam
• Willingness to work out of town for the duration of the assignment
• Integrity – behaves consistently with The HITT Way in all matters
• Self-development – seeks continuous improvement of knowledge and abilities
