About This Role
This role involves working on various commercial and residential projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The Concrete Finisher will have a strong background in concrete forming and finishing, and will work on challenging projects with a reputable company committed to excellence and safety.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes
- Install rebar and metal mesh according to blueprints and schematics for structural integrity
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine specifications for concrete placement
- Set forms for concrete pouring, ensuring proper alignment and dimensions for various structures
- Apply finishing techniques such as troweling, floating, and edging to produce high-quality surfaces
- Lift materials and equipment safely on-site while maintaining adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites including heavy lifting techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of rebar installation, form setting, caulking, plastering, tile laying, flooring installation, and other masonry skills
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes
- Experience with renovation projects including stucco work or restoration
- Construction site experience with knowledge of framing (including metal stud framing), roofing or welding
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operation of heavy equipment
