About This Role
An experienced Concrete Finisher is needed to perform quality residential and commercial concrete work. This role involves forming, pouring, screeding, leveling, and finishing concrete for various projects, contributing to a dependable team that prides itself on exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Form, pour, screed, level, and finish concrete for driveways, sidewalks, patios, slabs, foundations, and other projects
- Perform quality concrete finishing using hand tools and power equipment, including floats, trowels, edgers, and power trowels
- Prepare job sites, set forms, establish grades, and install reinforcement materials as needed
- Ensure proper concrete placement, finishing techniques, and curing procedures
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, and cleanup
- Operate construction tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Work alongside crew members to complete projects on schedule while maintaining quality standards
- Identify and address potential issues during concrete placement and finishing
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on concrete finishing experience
- Ability to independently perform standard concrete finishing tasks
- Experience with concrete forming, placement, and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of proper concrete finishing methods and tools
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew and follow directions
- Reliable transportation to designated work locations
Nice to have:
- Experience with decorative, stamped, or specialty concrete finishes
- Ability to read grades, elevations, and construction plans
- Experience operating skid steers, power trowels, and other construction equipment
- Experience with both residential and commercial concrete projects
- Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
