Role Description The Concrete Block Representative is a full-time, hybrid role with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for promoting and supporting the sale and distribution of concrete block products to contractors, builders, and other customers. Day-to-day tasks include building and maintaining customer relationships, providing product information and recommendations, and coordinating orders and deliveries with operations and dispatch teams. The Concrete Block Representative will visit job sites, assess customer needs, and ensure that products and services meet project specifications and quality standards. The role also involves tracking sales activities, preparing quotes, resolving customer issues, and collaborating with internal teams to meet sales and service goals.
Qualifications
- Experience with Ready Mix Concrete and Concrete Block products, with an understanding of their applications in construction projects.
- Knowledge of Formwork and Flatwork, including basic principles of concrete placement and finishing.
- Familiarity with Heavy Equipment used in concrete and block handling, with awareness of safe operating practices.
- Basic Carpentry skills related to concrete construction, such as understanding structural layouts and material requirements.
- Previous experience in construction, building materials, or concrete sales is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing time and priorities in a hybrid work environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer sites and SRM Concrete locations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or trade education in construction or related fields is a plus.
