Concierge

About This Role

This concierge role involves being the first point of contact for a senior living community, managing visitor interactions, and providing essential administrative support. The position suits an organized and professional individual who can handle multiple tasks in a busy environment while maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet all visitors to the community
• Answer the telephone, transfer calls to the appropriate party, and take accurate messages
• Monitor walkie-talkie, door security system, and fire panel as needed
• Monitor resident sign-in and sign-out log and the visitor registration log
• Complete administrative support functions such as filing and making copies
• Fill out and log service request forms for residents and/or staff
• Keep the front desk and lobby area clean and neat at all times
• Sell meal tickets and account for them by payroll deduction or personal check
• Ensure the security of the building by periodically checking entrances/exits
• Attend in-services and staff meetings as required
• Assist with coordinating van schedule for residents
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding the release of resident information
• Perform supportive office functions for all departments including filing, typing, and making copies
• Complete all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Considerate, neat, well-groomed, and professional in appearance
• Experience in administration functions
• Able to answer phones in a polite and professional manner
• Organized and able to work well with others as part of a team
• Polite and considerate to residents, visitors, co-workers, and management team
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to sit for extended periods of time
• Able to function effectively in a busy environment and multi-task
• Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
• Attend all required in-services and staff meetings
