Concierge

About This Role

This concierge role focuses on creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for patients and visitors from the moment they arrive. The concierge acts as the initial greeter, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction within the department.

Responsibilities

• Create a caring and personalized atmosphere
• Welcome patients and visitors with a smile
• Keep waiting areas clean, organized, and neat
• Organize the environment at the workstation and in the lobby
• Modify Environmental Services for spills and litter
• Ensure compliance with hospital regulatory requirements (infection control, safety programs)
• Use courteous and caring telephone techniques, following departmental scripts as needed
• Oversee volunteers, updating them with policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School diploma and equivalent
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills
• Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers and fax machines
• Demonstrate willingness to learn
• Comfortable using electronic medical systems, including EPIC
