Acuren is currently recruiting for a Computer Report Admin/CAD Operator to support our operations in Portland, Oregon.
The Computer Report Admin/CAD Operator will develop detailed design models / drawings and specifications for piping and vessels to the required technical quality as well as convert field ISO sketches into AutoCAD. The incumbent will also be responsible for entering technical data into the mechanical integrity data management system.
Travel Requirements: This position requires the ability to travel approximately 30–40% of the time. The role will include a combination of office-based responsibilities and field support, requiring regular presence at job sites and in the field.
Location Requiements:
We are currently seeking local candidates based in Portland, Oregon or surrounding area. While we welcome applications from all qualified individuals, local candidates are preferred due to the nature of the role.
Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent
2-year degree in Mechanical Drafting, CAD, or other related discipline
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in industrial drafting
Proficient in various CAD platforms (i.e. AutoCAD, Plant3D, CadWorx, etc.)
Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant aspects of commercial planning and design
Experience with CAD operation related to pressure vessels and piping
Knowledge of API codes and other related NDT principles preferred
Proficient MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Proficient with computer editing software, PhotoShop, Equal
