About This Role
Leading compliance efforts involves collaborating with various levels of management and subject matter experts to educate associates and managers on compliance programs. This role focuses on monitoring compliance controls, identifying root causes of issues, and driving corrective actions to build trust with customers, associates, stakeholders, and regulatory entities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compliance and safety awareness leveraging Ethics and Compliance resources
- Drive compliance improvement by conducting assessments in their facility across designated compliance subject matter areas such as Health & Safety/Fire Code, Environmental, Consumer Protection, Anti Money Laundering, Food Safety/Pest Control, Privacy & Employment, Licenses & Permits, and Anti-Corruption
- Deliver on-the-spot compliance training at all levels within the facility, including the Compliance portion of new associate orientation
- Analyze data to identify program execution gaps and/or trends, identify root cause, and support the creation and execution of action plans to mitigate risk and drive compliance execution
- Participate in regulatory visits (except Health & Wellness and Human Resource related matters), including online submission and engaging appropriate partners for resolution of orders or fines
- Execute and manage the hourly associate accident file process, including online submission, accident investigations, modified offer letters, and follow-up until resolution
- Foster two-way communication with Store Management for attendance management, progress note completion, and accountability
- Assist with collection and verification of required items/documents for customer claim folders
- Submit and follow up on Facilities Maintenance requests, including the management of pest activity
- Leverage and utilize escalation tools to resolve issues and outstanding tickets
- Conduct safety walks and inspections as an active safety team member
- Follow up on action items identified through Safety Team meeting notes & Inspections
