Compliance Analyst

About This Role

As the Compliance Analyst, you will support all frontline audit activities and provide coaching and support to the advice network. This role involves collaborating with various departments to drive business-wide improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all supervision, audit and group remediation of advice activities
• Act as the primary point of contact for advisers relating to compliance activities
• Support all administrative and operational duties related to AFSL, ensuring documentation and records are accurately maintained and accessible, including organising files, tracking compliance-related documentation, and supporting other team members regarding administrative processes and requirements
• Support offshore teams to ensure adherence to audit guidelines
• Assist in the maintenance of existing compliance framework
• Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
• Ensure compliance policies, procedures and registers are up-to-date and effectively communicated to all relevant stakeholders
• Work closely with advisers to provide coaching and support to enhance their compliance practices
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to ensure advisers are up-to-date with regulatory requirements and best practices, implementing reporting and recommendations where relevant

Requirements

• Life Insurance experience in Australia
• At least 2 years experience in a Compliance or Quality Assurance related role in Australia
• Understanding of industry standards and AFSL requirements, including ASIC, APRA, and the Code of Practice requirements
• Willingness to learn and develop in the compliance field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and organisational skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with high-volume business operations, especially in general advice contexts
