Community Plans and Liaison Specialist

Duties

• Provide background information on noise contours, flight tracks, and accident potential zones.

• Review the Planning and Zoning Board agendas to determine future impact on Cherry Point, community and environmental concerns, and potential board action.

• Serve as base representative for military affairs committees to including planning annual events, organizing and supporting work sessions, providing guidance on fundraising aboard DoD facilities in addition to identifying and notifying critical support functions.

• Serve as the coordinator for recruitment, selection and recognition of Serviceperson and Military Family of the Quarter in Havelock, New Bern, and Carteret County, as well as arranging for the appropriate awards dinners.

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates assisting with planning and scheduling Command and local community activities including reviewing plans and agendas; OR; have successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement necessary to do the work of this position; OR; have a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience. (Note- Experience must be substantiated in your resume)

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates performing duties associated with the planning, development and execution of Community relations activities including assessing and evaluating programs to determine the impact of land use, noise, and demographics; OR; have a Master's degree or equivalent graduate or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LLB., or J.D. (if related); OR; have a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience. (Note- Experience must be substantiated in your resume)

Education
