About This Role

Working as a Community Outreach Representative and Fundraiser, you will represent a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans. This role involves engaging with the public, raising awareness of veteran challenges, and encouraging donations to support programs. It suits motivated, dependable, and outgoing individuals who want to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Represent Veterans Alliance USA professionally at designated outreach locations
• Engage with community members in a friendly, confident, and respectful manner
• Educate the public about the nonprofit's mission, programs, and impact
• Encourage voluntary donations to support local veterans
• Maintain accurate records of donations collected
• Set up and maintain outreach tables and promotional materials
• Work independently and collaboratively with other team members
• Meet reasonable outreach and fundraising performance expectations
• Follow all organizational policies and fundraising procedures

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable approaching and speaking with new people
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods during outreach shifts
