About This Role
Leading efforts to build meaningful connections within the community is the core of the Community Outreach Coordinator role. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and implement outreach programs, foster partnerships, and promote our mission across diverse populations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and execute community outreach programs that align with organizational goals and community needs.
- Recruit, supervise, and motivate volunteers to support outreach activities and events.
- Serve as a public speaker at community meetings, workshops, and events to promote awareness of our initiatives.
- Manage social media platforms and marketing campaigns to increase visibility and engagement across digital channels.
- Collect data on outreach efforts, analyze impact metrics, and prepare reports to inform future strategies.
- Build partnerships with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to expand program reach.
- Oversee project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure successful program delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams in community settings.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.
- Experience in program development, project management, and marketing strategies.
- Knowledge of social media management tools and data collection methods for evaluating outreach effectiveness.
- Background in public health, social work, addiction counseling or related fields is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and inspire team members.
- Excellent administrative skills including organizing events, managing schedules, and maintaining records.
- Prior experience in fundraising or grant writing is a plus.
- Ability to teach or train others on relevant topics related to community well-being.
