About the Role

Are you a dedicated mental health nurse ready to take the next step in your career? Were looking for an experienced, compassionate clinician to help drive recovery-focused services for adults across Te Toka Tumai Auckland. In this pivotal role, youll work alongside a passionate team to deliver integrated care and make a lasting difference in the lives of our community.

As part of our Care and Recovery team, youll deliver compassionate day-to-day care and help ensure seamless, effective services that truly support our whaiora on their recovery journey

Key responsibilities include:

Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to assisting patients in achieving equitable health outcomes.

Take ownership of maintaining a safe work environment for oneself and colleagues.

Maintain accurate and pertinent records in accordance with regulatory standards.

Efficiently manage caseloads to ensure optimal service delivery.

Reporting to the Clinical Team Leader, this is an opportunity to lead by example, influence positive outcomes, and support a committed team in delivering high-quality mental health care.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Ihi Oras Community Mental Health Centre provides a range of assessment and recovery focused treatment options for adults experiencing moderate to severe mental illness and/or psychological disorders/distress.

About You

Youre a Registered Mental Health Nurse whos ready to make a real difference in peoples lives. With at least one years experience in mental health, you bring a strong clinical background and a genuine commitment to recovery-focused care. You thrive in diverse clinical settings and work in true partnership with service users, their families/whānau, and the wider community to provide a full range of therapeutic options.

What youll bring:

  • Clinical expertise and a passion for person-centred care.
  • Collaborative spiritable to work confidently with clients, mental health providers, government agencies, and community organisations to support recovery.
  • A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
  • A Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health.
  • Hands-on experience in a mental health setting.
  • A strong, ongoing commitment to bicultural practice.
