About the Role: We are seeking Commissioning Engineers to support commissioning oversight, test witnessing, reliability runs, performance verification, and acceptance-related activities for renewable energy and power infrastructure systems under an Owner’s Engineer assignment in Oman. The role requires experience in commissioning power generation assets, preferably wind, solar PV, BESS, substations, or grid-connected renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review commissioning plans, test procedures, inspection records, pre-commissioning documentation, and acceptance-related submissions.
- Witness start-up tests, pre-commissioning, commissioning, reliability runs, performance tests, and system readiness activities.
- Coordinate commissioning interfaces with discipline engineers, contractors, grid/interface parties, QA/QC, HSE, and project management teams.
- Verify test results, commissioning records, punch list status, non-conformances, and readiness for handover or taking-over activities.
- Support performance verification for wind, solar PV, BESS, electrical systems, and associated infrastructure as applicable.
- Prepare commissioning inputs for progress reports, technical reviews, close-out reports, and acceptance documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commissioning power generation, renewable energy, substations, grid-connected assets, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Experience with start-up tests, reliability runs, performance tests, commissioning documentation, and acceptance procedures.
- Experience with wind, solar PV, BESS, or HV/MV electrical systems is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commissioning sequencing, test witnessing, punch list management, and technical reporting.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
