Commercial Strategy Manager

About This Role

This role focuses on supporting key channel strategy projects, optimizing the channel value chain, and refining the distributor evaluation system. It involves managing commercial policies, responding to external market changes, and supporting audit-related work for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (IM) and Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical (JJP).

Responsibilities

• Support key channel strategy projects, including innovative projects with major distributor groups and timely communication and problem-solving for group-level access projects
• Support the strategy design for retail and medical channel strategy teams, promoting a holistic view of resource allocation to ensure efficiency
• Maintain close follow-up with regional commercial teams through regular dashboards, synchronizing goals and sharing progress with various business departments
• Integrate channel value chain design with different product types, life cycles, key channels, and required services from distributors and pharmacies, upgrading the value chain design model through data analysis
• Effectively support the business needs of strategic products from new product launch to national negotiation, ensuring smooth channels
• Maintain efficient communication with internal departments and teams, supporting the formulation, analysis, regular review, consensus, and implementation of design solutions
• Analyze resource input from the overall perspective of distributor groups, supporting the evaluation of key distributor KPIs to form a unified national distributor system evaluation model
• Support the distributor management team with distributor profitability analysis and other data analysis and insights
• Actively respond to channel supply pressure caused by local policy changes and channel changes, quickly organizing and summarizing information to form solutions and suggestions, as well as financial and price impact assessments
• Effectively communicate and promote solutions with cross-functional departments, especially legal, compliance, and finance, and promptly revise plans based on feedback
• Draft commercial policies and agreements for J&J IM and JJP, and promote internal approval processes
• Manage the overall commercial policy/rebate process, including risk management, smooth coordination with CACD regions and cross-functional departments, rebate/price calculation, data analysis and regular work reports, and process improvement suggestions
• Timely perceive and agilely respond to external environmental changes, including insights into industry policies, operating environment, and changes in the distributor landscape, providing timely analysis and insights to the management team
• Stay updated on commercial model solutions in the industry, providing commercial policy support for the team's innovative business models
• Support J&J IM and JJP related audit work
• Manage special projects for third-party surveys/audits related to rebates
• Support internal and external audits such as RBR audit (financial-related) and FCPA audit (HCC-related) from a commercial policy perspective, answering audit questions and following up on improvement plans

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial or sales experience in a multinational company, with experience in commercial policy management, or experience in managing related consulting service projects in large consulting firms
• Good cross-functional communication skills
• Strong data analysis and insight capabilities
• Good English written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to work under pressure and good team collaboration awareness
