Commercial Flooring Installer

We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Commercial Flooring Installers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials across commercial spaces, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayments to ensure proper flooring adhesion.
• Measure and cut flooring materials accurately using hand tools, power tools, and schematics to fit specific spaces.
• Install various types of flooring including tile, hardwood, vinyl, laminate, and carpet with precision and attention to detail.
• Read blueprints and schematics to follow project specifications and ensure correct installation procedures.
• Use caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation techniques to complete seamless finishes around edges, corners, and fixtures.
• Perform restoration work such as water damage repair, floor refinishing, buffing, and floor care maintenance to extend the lifespan of installed floors.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople on-site to coordinate tasks efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction estimating and project planning processes.
• Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, and remodeling projects within the construction or restoration industry.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, as well as power tools for precise installation work.
• Experience with carpentry techniques including trim carpentry and cabinet installation.
• Familiarity with water damage restoration procedures and floor care techniques like buffing and sealing.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of troubleshooting issues related to substrate preparation or material fitting.
