About the role
Role Overview: The Co-Worker Health Nurse provides occupational health services to support employee well-being and safety. Under supervision, they coordinate health programs, conduct assessments, manage immunizations, and facilitate return-to-work and injury follow-up.
Responsibilities include: planning and administering health services in compliance with regulations, performing pre-employment screenings, managing TB and immunization programs, providing first aid, and serving as Workers' Compensation Coordinator. They maintain confidential health records, prepare compliance reports, monitor regulatory changes, and promote workplace wellness through participation in safety and infection prevention committees.
Qualifications: A graduate of an accredited Nursing program with an active RN license. Preferred experience in occupational health, employee health, or case management. Skills required include clinical assessment, discretion, strong communication, organization, and proficiency with electronic health records. Physical ability to perform assessments and immunizations is necessary.
