About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections on CNC-machined parts according to drawings and inspection plans.
- Conduct First Article, In-Process and Final Inspections.
- Use precision measuring equipment such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges and dial indicators.
- Check dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, thread quality and other drawing requirements.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Record inspection results accurately and prepare inspection reports.
- Identify, segregate and report non-conforming parts.
- Work closely with CNC operators, production and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support root-cause investigations for recurring defects.
- Ensure measuring equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Follow company quality, safety and housekeeping procedures.
Requirements
- NITEC, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing or related fields.
- 1–3 years of relevant inspection experience in CNC machining or precision engineering is preferred.
- Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and tolerance requirements.
- Comfortable using common precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of GD&T and CMM inspection will be an advantage.
- Good attention to detail and a responsible working attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willing to work shifts or overtime when required.
