Position Summary

Lincoln Electric Products Co. Inc. is seeking a talented CNC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming CNC machines to ensure the precise manufacturing of parts and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC operations, technical drawings, and machining processes, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve programming issues. You will work closely with the Fabrication CNC Operator team to ensure high-quality standards are met and contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency.

It is a full-time, exempt position, and the candidate will report directly to the Fabrication Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

· CNC programmer professional who creates programs that control computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines.

· CNC machines are automated manufacturing tools that perform precise and complex operations on various materials, such as cutting, milling, and drilling.

· The CNC Punch Programmer is responsible for programming and operating computer numerical control (CNC) punch machines to manufacture sheet metal parts according to blueprints, drawings, and other specifications.

· They are responsible for reading and interpreting design blueprints, programming the CNC machine, and adjusting the machine settings until the desired specifications are met.

· The programmer must ensure that the machine operates efficiently and produces high-quality parts while adhering to safety guidelines and production schedules.

· Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other specifications to create CNC punch programs for sheet metal parts.

· Set up and operated CNC punch machines and load programs and adjusted tooling as needed to ensure efficient and accurate production.

· Verify the accuracy of the CNC punch programs and adjust as necessary to meet quality and production requirements.

· Troubleshoot CNC punch machine errors and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and quality.

· Ensure all work is performed according to safety guidelines and production schedules.

· Maintain equipment, tools, and work area clean and organized.

· Collaborate with other production team members to meet production goals and ensure timely delivery of finished products.

· Improve programming and machine operation techniques to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.

Skills, Requirements, and Specifications

  • Must have experience programming with Trumpf/Amada machine.
  • Previous experience in CNC punch programming and machine operation.
  • Experience working with CAD and CAM software.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming software
  • Knowledge of machine tooling and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency on both spoken and written English is required.

Education: Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering Degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
