CNC Machinist

About This Role

Working in a precision sheet metal and machine shop, the CNC Machinist sets up and runs machines with minimal supervision, ensuring quality production through physical inspection. This role suits an experienced machinist and CNC Mill Operator who is self-motivated and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run machines with minimal supervision
• Edit programming at the machine
• Ensure quality production through physical inspection
• Maintain a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and safety, ensuring quality standards and policy objectives are met by in-process inspection
• Deburr own parts before the next procedure in the shop
• Work overtime as needed to meet schedule requirements
• Follow instruction and help wherever needed
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• Experience in Lathe and/or Vertical Mill (Fadal)
• Own tools (calipers, indicators, etc.)
• Knowledge of M & G codes
• Experience with basic inspection equipment and small tools (calipers, grinders, measuring tape, etc.)
• Willingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Able to frequently and repetitively lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Frequently use hands for handles or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Climbing and balancing

Important Details

• Probation period: 60 days (benefits available after this period)
