Role: CMF Designer
Location: Portland, OR (Onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Contract
We’re looking for a Color Designer who lives and breathes sneakers.
You'll create the color stories behind footwear that shows up on shelves and in culture — building seasonal palettes, defending your choices with insight and moodboards, and carrying color from first concept all the way through commercialization with Design, Development, Materials, and Product Marketing.
What you'll do:
• Create and execute color designs for footwear products
• Develop seasonal color stories, palettes, and product-specific color solutions
• Research color, consumer, cultural, fashion, and lifestyle trends — then turn them into product
• Review samples, communicate revisions, and finalize color specifications
• Manage line art, color specs, CAD file organization, timelines, and deliverables
What you bring:
• 5+ years of color design experience — footwear preferred (apparel/consumer products considered)
• A portfolio with real color storytelling: moodboards, palettes, and the why behind every choice
• Strong grasp of color theory, color application, materials and finishes
• Fluency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Sneaker culture and consumer trend knowledge, backed by insight data
• Bachelors in design, Color Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design or equivalent experience
