Cloud Operations Consultant

About This Role

This Cloud Operations Consultant role provides daily support to all AIA business units using AIA's Azure public cloud platform. The work includes incident, change, request, and problem management, focusing on leveraging Azure services administration tasks and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to all AIA business units using AIA's Azure public cloud platform
• Manage incident, change, request, and problem management
• Leverage Azure services administration tasks
• Optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
• Liaise with service providers to ensure operational processes (backup, patching, provisioning, monitoring) for service follow-up and incident management

Requirements

• 5+ years relevant experience in a Cloud Engineering / Support role
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DB2, including administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Excellent understanding and proven experience in Public Cloud implementation, workload migration, and operational support in a multi-site enterprise environment
• Relevant professional certifications (Azure, AWS, ITIL etc)
• Practical experience of supporting Enterprise Public Cloud Services and automation
• Experience within a decentralized organization, preferably within the Group unit
• Sound understanding of IT operating model design and best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Comprehensive skills in one of the following areas:
  • Middleware: IIS / Websphere / Apache / Tomcat
  • Databases: IBM DB2 / Azure SQL Database / Oracle database / SQL Server
  • Scripting and containers: Powershell, Azure cmd line, YAML, Containers / AKS, etc.

Nice to have:

• Experience in a top-tier multinational corporation
• Exposure to other database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
