About the role
Role Summary
We are seeking a Cloud-Native Playwright Automation Engineer to build scalable, high-speed automated test frameworks. You will integrate Playwright (TypeScript) into containerized cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines to drive shift-left quality and fast release cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain modular Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) test frameworks for UI and API testing.
- Containerize test runs using Docker and scale execution across cloud environments or Kubernetes.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Optimize test suites for massively parallel execution and minimal pipeline runtimes.
- Implement robust locator strategies and network mocking to eliminate test flakiness.
- Set up automated test reporting and pipeline failure observability.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years in test automation; 2+ years dedicated to Playwright.
- Languages: Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD tooling, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Core Skills: Page Object Models, API/E2E testing, Git workflows, and DOM/CSS selector optimization.
- Nice-to-Have: Kubernetes, visual regression testing, performance testing (k6), or cloud test grids.
