About the role
Job Description The Software Developer – Golang at Wipro builds high-performance, cloud-native backend services that power large-scale distributed systems. You'll write clean, scalable Go code, design service-to-service communication with gRPC and Protocol Buffers, and deploy on modern cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role for a builder who thrives on solving complex problems in a collaborative, Agile environment — and wants their code running in production at global scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Golang.
- Build and integrate service communication layers using gRPC, RPCs, and Protocol Buffers (Protos).
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Contribute to the design of distributed systems, including service discovery, concurrency patterns, and fault tolerance.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, health checks, and prober configurations to ensure operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, SREs, QA) through the full software development lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and uphold engineering best practices for maintainable, secure code.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience (L4 / Tier II equivalent).
- Strong hands-on development experience in Golang (Go).
- Solid working knowledge of RPCs, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers (Protos).
- Proven experience building cloud-native software and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, concurrency, version control (Git), and CI/CD practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team.
