Job Post Summary
Our Client is seeking a Mid Level Cloud Developer to support the development, migration, automation, and operation of secure cloud based applications and infrastructure within a federal environment. The role focuses on cloud service delivery models, application migration, DevSecOps automation, cloud security, availability, recovery, and optimization. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, hands on cloud development experience, and an active Top Secret security clearance. AWS experience is preferred.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks supporting Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, Software as a Service, and Data as a Service.
- Develop and implement cloud applications and enhance existing cloud based software solutions.
- Implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps practices.
- Analyze existing applications and determine their suitability for migration or deployment into cloud environments.
- Migrate existing on premises applications and workloads to cloud environments.
- Debug cloud application stacks and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application issues.
- Establish and maintain secure cloud environments.
- Develop strategies for system availability, uptime, failure recovery, and resiliency.
- Evaluate cloud environments for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Provide recommendations regarding cloud, cloud agnostic, and on premises services based on technical and business requirements.
- Support policies and processes governing cloud services and requests for new technologies.
- Design and develop new software products and major enhancements to existing cloud software.
Qualifications And Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5 or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Active Top Secret security clearance required.
- Hands on experience developing and supporting cloud based applications or infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud application migration and deployment.
- Experience with cloud automation and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience designing secure, reliable, and highly available cloud environments.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging cloud application stacks.
- Understanding of Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, Software as a Service, and Data as a Service delivery models.
- Experience evaluating application workloads for cloud migration and deployment.
- AWS cloud platform experience preferred.
