About This Role
This role is for a dynamic and innovative Cloud Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions. You will leverage your expertise in cloud computing platforms and architecture principles to craft robust cloud infrastructure that aligns with organizational goals. Your passion for cutting-edge technology and solution-oriented thinking will drive the transformation of the cloud environment, ensuring seamless integration, security, and performance across multiple cloud services and deployment models.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive cloud architecture solutions utilizing public cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and others
- Lead cloud infrastructure implementation projects focusing on scalability, security, and high availability using tools like VMware, OpenStack, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerization systems such as Docker
- Develop and enforce best practices for cloud security, including identity and access management (IAM) solutions, encryption protocols, and compliance standards like FedRAMP
- Automate deployment processes through DevOps practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design microservices architectures leveraging RESTful APIs, SaaS integrations, and web services for optimal performance
- Implement cloud migration strategies ensuring minimal disruption while optimizing costs and resource utilization across IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and hybrid environments
- Develop scalable systems by integrating distributed systems concepts with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V to support enterprise needs
Requirements
- Proven experience designing enterprise-grade cloud architectures across multiple platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or Rackspace
- Strong background in implementing cloud security measures aligned with industry standards such as FedRAMP and best practices for public cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with solution architecture involving service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices development, container orchestration with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
- Demonstrated ability to automate deployment processes using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins or similar tools within Agile or SDLC frameworks
- Extensive knowledge of operating systems including Linux and Windows Server environments
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell or Bash is highly desirable
- Experience working on large-scale cloud migration projects involving complex system design considerations for scalability and resilience
- Strong understanding of network concepts such as VPNs, Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Amazon VPC configurations, RESTful APIs, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB, relational databases including MySQL or PostgreSQL
