About This Role
This senior-level Cloud Architect role focuses on designing cloud architectures, primarily for Oracle Cloud, along with AWS, Azure, frameworks, governance models, and cloud standards for the organization. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure, multi/hybrid-cloud architectures, and may include guiding engineering teams or supplementing their skills. A strong foundation in AI technologies supported on the platform is essential due to hybrid integrations and migration initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design cloud architectures primarily for Oracle Cloud along with AWS, Azure
- Develop frameworks, governance models, and cloud standards for the organization
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements
- Translate requirements into scalable, secure, multi/hybrid-cloud architectures
- Guide engineering teams or supplement their skill sets
- Demonstrate use of AI
- Develop architectures, standards, and governance models for the OCI platform
Requirements
- Current Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification (Architect Professional or Architect Associate) is strongly preferred (submit credentials when available)
- 6-9 years of OCI experience
- Experience with AI technologies available on any platform
- 4-6 years of hybrid infrastructure experience
- 4-6 years of cloud networking experience
- 4-6 years of cloud DevOps / automation experience
- 2-3 years of cloud security experience
- 1-2 years of cloud FinOps experience
- 2-3 years of architecture documentation experience (Visio or Abacus)
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms, services, governance, frameworks, and best practices
- Proficiency in OCI is mandatory
- Extensive experience with cloud servers and environments with configuration, patching, network and VLAN configuration, backups, system monitoring and alerts
- Experience with Cloud Platforms: Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience with Database Technologies: Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Golden Gate, RMAN, Database licensing
- Experience with Product Architecture and roadmap assessment
- Experience with Platforms: Exadata, ExaCC, ExaDB-D, Exascale, DBaaS, OEM
- Experience with Architecture: High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Multi-Cloud Architecture
- Experience with Automation: Terraform, Ansible, API/CLI automation
- Experience with SRE & DevOps: Monitoring, Observability, SLAs/SLOs/SLIs
Nice to have:
- 1-2 years each of Azure / AWS / GCP experience
