About This Role
This Cloud Architect role focuses on driving the design, automation, governance, and operational excellence of enterprise-scale cloud data platforms. The position leverages Azure, Databricks, DevOps, and AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate delivery and improve platform reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage Azure landing zones, subscriptions, resource groups, networking, and governance frameworks
- Build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure using Azure-native services and enterprise security standards
- Deploy, administer, and optimize Azure Databricks workspaces, clusters, jobs, and policies
- Implement Unity Catalog, data governance controls, access management, and compliance standards
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for platform automation
- Integrate Databricks with ADLS Gen2 and enterprise data services
- Leverage GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and GenAI tools for automation, troubleshooting, and documentation
- Implement observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Databricks monitoring
- Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and operational excellence initiatives
- Enable GitOps, automated deployments, and self-healing platform capabilities
- Optimize Azure and Databricks cost, performance, scalability, and reliability
- Mentor engineers and contribute to cloud engineering standards and best practices
- Support disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and production support operations
Requirements
- 12-15 years of experience
- Engineering Degree – BE / ME / BTech / M Tech / B.Sc. / M.Sc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable
- Azure Administration, Azure Networking, Azure Security, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Entra ID, Azure Policy, Azure Cost Management
