Harbour Cancer & Wellness is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Services Manager to lead our clinical services across our oncology facilities.

This is a senior clinical leadership and service delivery role, focused on operational clinical leadership, clinical governance, workforce leadership, quality and safety, service improvement, and the effective coordination of clinical services to ensure high-quality patient care across our oncology and Heamatology services.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Clinical Services Manager is a key member of the leadership team and works closely with medical specialists, nursing teams, pharmacy services, clinical trials team and operational leaders to support the ongoing growth and success of Harbour Cancer & Wellness.

About the Role

As Clinical Services Manager, you will:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of clinical services to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
  • Lead and develop nursing and pharmacy teams, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
  • Manage workforce rostering across our clinical sites.
  • Drive clinical governance, quality, safety, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor clinical performance, patient experience, risks, incidents, complaints, and quality outcomes.
  • Partner with clinicians and operational leaders to ensure services are delivered efficiently and sustainably.
  • Lead service development projects, new models of care, and innovation opportunities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance patient outcomes, staff engagement, and operational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to organisational strategy, business planning, and growth initiatives.
  • Manage clinical resources and budgets to support sustainable service delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with patients, whānau, clinicians, staff, and external stakeholders.

About You

You will be a respected clinical leader with the ability to inspire teams, drive change, and deliver high-quality healthcare services.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A current New Zealand health professional registration (Nursing preferred).
  • Significant clinical leadership experience within healthcare services.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation requirements.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including workforce planning and performance management.
  • Demonstrated success in service development, operational improvement, and change management.
  • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong financial, resource management, and operational planning capability.
  • A commitment to equitable, culturally responsive, and patient-centred care.
