Role Overview The Clinical Pharmacist II collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication management. They provide expert drug knowledge, perform patient monitoring, and participate in educational programs to enhance pharmacy services. The role includes drug distribution, supervision, and non-dispensing functions, with a focus on positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers on medication prescribing and administration.
- Ensure medication safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in educational initiatives to improve pharmacy services.
- Perform drug distribution, supervision, and related non-dispensing tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience preferred.
- Licensure as a Pharmacist.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Cerner, medical terminology, critical thinking, and standard pharmacy equipment.
- Experience with medication checking and IV laminar flow hood is desirable.
