We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our pharmacy department at GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel BC.
About the role
As a pharmacist you will play a critical role in providing pharmacy services that support safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care across Northern Health. Working as a valued member of an interprofessional health care team, you will assess patient needs, recommend individualized treatment plans, and serve as a trusted resource for drug information and clinical expertise.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert drug information and education to health care professionals.
- Monitoring medication prescribing, distribution, and therapy to ensure the safe, effective, rational, legal, and economical use of medications.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Assessing and recommending individualized pharmaceutical care plans.
- Maintaining workload records and statistics in accordance with departmental and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc Pharm) or equivalent.
- Current licensure with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or a combination of at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience and advanced education courses.
- Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) is encouraged.
