Minimum Education
- Completion of Vocational Nursing Program or Associates Degree in Nursing
Minimum Work Experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Licensed Vocational Nurse; licensed in the state of Texas
Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical practices; terminology; and reimbursement policies
- Thorough knowledge of planning; scheduling; coordinating; and establishing goals and priorities for nursing and support staff in a health care setting
- Knowledge in conflict resolution
- Skill in planning; organizing; delegating; and supervising
- Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures
- Skill in problem solving
- Skill in verbal and written communication
- Skill in speaking engagements and other activities that raise awareness to diseases and disease processes
- Ability to read; interpret; and apply policies and procedures
- Ability to set priorities among multiple requests
- Ability to interact with patients; medical and administrative staff; and the public effectively
