About the role
Role Overview Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced pre-op, post-op, and PACU setting, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication use.
- Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
- Maintain safety awareness as this role is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree and RN licensure.
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with two years of experience.
- Pre/post-op experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate strong assessment and communication skills.
