Role Overview: This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced PACU environment, managing recovery for neuro, transplant, orthopedic, ENT, cardiovascular, thoracic, trauma, and spine patients. The role emphasizes critical thinking, assessment, planning, and evaluation within established nursing standards. It promotes patient and family-centered care, education on post-treatment management, and participation in safety and quality activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs, considering cultural, spiritual, and personal values
- Promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while engaging in professional development
- Providing education on illness management and post-treatment care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum an RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred
- Basic nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills
- Safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and adherence to safety protocols
