Clinical Manager, Adolescent Psychiatry

Afternoon/Mid-Shift: 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Make a Difference in Adolescent Mental Health

Join Cincinnati Children's as a Clinical Manager and help lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional psychiatric care to adolescents. In this role, you'll support staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You'll Do

Lead and Develop Teams

  • Coach, mentor, and support nursing staff and other team members.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture.
  • Partner with the Clinical Director to achieve department goals and improve patient care.
  • Support staff training, development, and professional growth.

Support Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure care is delivered safely and meets regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Monitor quality outcomes and address areas for improvement.
  • Help implement corrective action plans and performance improvement initiatives.

Manage Daily Operations

  • Oversee staffing, workflow, and daily clinical operations.
  • Resolve operational issues and support efficient patient care delivery.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new team members.
  • Identify process improvements that enhance patient and staff experience.

Lead Projects and Strategic Initiatives

  • Manage projects that support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate resources, timelines, and communication plans.
  • Monitor progress and provide updates to key stakeholders.

Financial Stewardship

  • Support department productivity and resource management.
  • Assist with budget planning and monitoring.
  • Review financial trends and help identify solutions to operational challenges.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution
  • Active Ohio RN license (or multistate compact)
  • At least three years of nursing experience
  • Foreign graduates must have license validated through TruMerit per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates
  • Pass Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Certification Course during orientation
  • Clinical experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
  • Previous leadership experience such as charge nurse, supervisor, team lead, or manager

Preferred

  • Experience leading teams in an inpatient psychiatric setting
  • Experience with staffing, scheduling, and operational management
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
