About the role
Role Overview Provides direct patient care in an outpatient oncology or critical care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Participates in promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while educating patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
Collaborates with the interprofessional team to develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
This safety-sensitive role requires constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- RN license (required), ADN or BSN accepted
- Preferred: < 2 years of nursing experience, bachelor's degree in nursing
- Experience in oncology or critical care is preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills
