About the role
University Health is seeking a compassionate and qualified Clinical Ethicist to join our Ethics Department. Under the direction of the Director of Ethics, the selected candidate will support the ethical practice of healthcare by serving as an Independent Living Donor Advocate (ILDA) and assisting with clinical ethics consultations across our system. This vital role contributes to the ethical integrity of our care delivery and ensures support for diverse patients and families making complex healthcare decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Independent Living Donor Advocate (ILDA), protecting the rights and interests of living donors.
- Support clinical ethics consultations in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Participate in ethics education and departmental initiatives.
- Ensure high-quality service that aligns with University Health's commitment to compassionate, ethical care.
- Promote and uphold the University Health Guest Relations policy.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Ethics or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Candidates with a strong clinical background (e.g., Social Work, Nursing) and documented experience in clinical ethics or as an ILDA are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse populations and promoting health equity.
