About This Role

This permanent, part-time opportunity is for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team. The specialist will engage, educate, and lead clinicians while conducting retrospective and concurrent reviews of clinical documentation to ensure best practice standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Engage, educate, and lead clinicians
• Conduct retrospective and concurrent reviews of clinical documentation to ensure best practice standards are met
• Ensure clinical documentation accurately captures the patient episode of care, including diagnostic information, treatment plan, clinical treatment, clinical reasoning, and decision-making
• Participate in ward rounds, grand rounds, divisional, and other meeting forums to deliver educational aspects of documentation improvement and policy advice in compliance with national standards

Requirements

• Valid Australian work rights
• For permanent appointments, hold citizenship, permanent residency, or visas that enable ongoing employment in Australia
• Undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process
• May be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role)
• May be required to undertake a pre-employment health assessment
