About the role
Role:
Clinical Dietitian responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients at nutrition risk, develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Perform nutrition-focused physical exams and create diagnosis-based interventions.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on nutrition topics, including specialized diets and community resources.
- Manage nutrition support, including enteral nutrition, and develop transitional feeding plans.
- Utilize evidence-based research, participate in performance improvement, and mentor dietetic interns and technicians.
- Maintain documentation, participate in team rounds, and adhere to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics and completion of an ACEND-accredited program.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) and licensed dietitian within specified timelines.
- Preferred 1-2 years of clinical experience, proficiency with electronic medical records, and excellent communication skills.
