About the role
Role: Clinical Dietitian responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nutrition assessments, develop diagnoses, and create individualized nutrition care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nutrition interventions, including managing enteral nutrition support.
- Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Utilize the Nutrition Care Process, document patient encounters, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and mentor dietetic interns.
- Stay current with research, evaluate practice effectiveness, and engage in professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics from an accredited program.
- Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Licensed Dietitian (LD) through the state within 6 months.
- One to two years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records.
