About the role
To lead the coordination and execution of operational processes that ensure client satisfaction. Further, to collaborate with internal teams to manage operational budgets, KPIs, and service enhancements while leveraging persuasive skills to influence outcomes and meet client expectations.
Client-Centric Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact between Smollan and the client, fostering long-term partnerships
- Build strong relationships with clients, positioning Smollan as a strategic partner and by showcasing the full suite of solutions
- Use data-driven insights to tell a compelling story, driving client buy-in
- Provide category growth recommendations that strengthen partnerships
- Optimise assortment, cycle planning, and promotional execution for maximum impact
- Drive client engagement through regular collaboration, problem-solving, and strategic insights
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor movements, and consumer behaviors
- Use data and market insights to influence client decisions and drive business growth
Business Growth and Sustainability
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Maximise cross-selling and upselling of Smollan’s full suite of services
- Use insights and business cases to influence client investments
- Monitor competitor trends, shopper behavior, and market shifts to stay ahead
- Identify white-space opportunities to unlock new revenue streams and innovation
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to sustain long-term business success
Relevant Degree/NQF level 7 qualification
8-10 years’ experience in a FMCG/ Retail/Sales environment
