Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks in compliance with chemical handling safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, fixtures, and furniture to uphold facility appearance standards
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks for moving supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial vacuums
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following all chemical handling safety procedures
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Familiarity with safety protocol adherence and facilities maintenance procedures
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning or residential painting is a plus but not required
