About This Role
This senior-level all-lines adjuster role focuses on providing exceptional customer service while independently investigating and processing claims. The position requires strong organizational skills, a commitment to quality and integrity, and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Alberta & Saskatchewan Regional Manager
- Attend or investigate claims on behalf of principals to assess damages, create scopes of repair, interview claimants and witnesses, and create scene diagrams
- Review policy wordings to determine coverage
- Communicate findings of investigations in a detailed report format
- Review professional reports related to the claim, such as engineering, accounting, legal, or building consultant reports
- Authorize or deny coverage based on findings and instructions received from principals
- Negotiate settlements with insureds and/or claimants based on instructions received from principals
- Ensure that claims are processed in accordance with statutory requirements
- Investigate suspicious claims
Requirements
- Extensive property & casualty claims handling experience
- Active Alberta adjuster license
- CIP Designation, or working towards CIP Designation
- Outstanding mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and OneNote
- Experience and ability to navigate a claims management system
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
- Property Claims experience: 2 years (preferred)
- Claims Adjusting experience: 2 years (preferred)
