Responsibilities
- Handle all company property and casualty and/or subrogation claims assigned to the position in an efficient and accurate manner
- Successfully complete the Alfa Adjuster training and other departmentally provided training to move to an Adjuster position during the Adjuster Trainee period
- Maintain the company standard of professional claims handling by providing fast, fair claims service with a minimum of customer complaints
- Contribute to the financial planning of the company by adequate reserving and controlling expenses
- Assure control of claimants and insured to avoid lawsuits
Requirements
- 4-year bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, must have 2 years as an Adjuster OR 3 years in automobile repair, home and/or commercial construction, law enforcement, or auto and/or property estimating
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds, such as a ladder
- Physical agility to ascend/descend stairs/ladders, walk on roofs, crawl under houses/cars and maneuver over and around small barriers
- Sit for long periods of time doing sedentary work such as paperwork and computer work
- Ability to work in adverse weather and working conditions, with some extended stay away from home
