Civil Quantity Surveyor

About This Role

This role involves the crucial task of managing and estimating costs for civil engineering projects, from initial quantity take-offs to final bill verification. The ideal candidate will be adept at preparing comprehensive Bills of Quantities and tracking project expenses, ensuring financial compliance and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and BOQs
• Estimate project costs for materials, labor, plant, and equipment
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings and specifications
• Verify subcontractor and client bills
• Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) bills and final bills
• Measure executed work at site and certify quantities
• Track project costs and prepare cost reports
• Monitor material consumption and identify cost variances
• Prepare rate analysis for extra and non-BOQ items
• Evaluate variation orders and change requests
• Coordinate with planning, procurement, site execution, and finance teams
• Maintain records of measurements, invoices, and payment certificates
• Review contracts and ensure compliance with commercial terms
• Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and cost estimation
