Civil Land Surveyor

About This Role

This role involves conducting site surveys and setting out activities for building construction projects, ensuring accurate positioning and alignment throughout the construction process. The position suits an experienced land surveyor with a background in civil building construction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and setting-out activities for building construction projects
• Establish reference points, benchmarks, grid lines, and building coordinates as per approved drawings
• Carry out setting-out for foundations, footings, columns, beams, slabs, and other structural elements
• Perform levelling, alignment, and dimensional checks throughout construction
• Verify excavation levels, foundation locations, column positions, and structural dimensions
• Read and interpret civil, architectural, and structural drawings
• Operate Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, Auto Levels, and other surveying instruments
• Conduct as-built surveys and prepare survey reports and measurement records
• Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams to ensure accurate positioning and alignment
• Identify discrepancies between actual site conditions and approved drawings

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of UAE experience in civil building construction is mandatory
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in site surveying, setting-out, levelling, and site measurements
• Proficiency in Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and Auto Levels
• Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, and structural drawings
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing software
• Experience in as-built surveys, site coordination, and verification of structural dimensions
• Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred
• Immediate joiners will be given preference
