Civil Engineer

About This Role

This Civil Engineer role involves managing the civil design and documentation for various land, urban, and subdivision projects across public and private sectors. The engineer will resolve design constraints, coordinate projects with various disciplines, and deliver projects with the support of a multi-disciplinary design team.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and project manage land, urban, and subdivision projects, from feasibility through to construction
• Prepare technical reports and specifications
• Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects
• Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets
• Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
• Undertake and manage site inspections
• Contribute to the development of Stantec’s knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design, and construction
• Maintain existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clients
• Assist in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship management

Requirements

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering
• Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and the delivery of projects, ideally within urban, land, and subdivisions
• Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modeling, and construction
• Project management skills
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing
