A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to support public works and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in utilities, roadway, highway, and site development construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and bid proposals for heavy civil construction projects
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Assist with bid strategy, scope reviews, and value engineering
- Collaborate with project management and operations teams throughout the bidding process
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in estimating, project management, or preconstruction within heavy civil construction
- Strong background in public works, utilities, roadway, highway, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating and takeoff software preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
