CIRT Analyst

About This Role

This role involves conducting investigations and responding to network intrusions as part of the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT). The analyst will be responsible for computer forensics, evidence preservation, and providing technical support for internal investigations.

Responsibilities

• Establish a chain of custody for evidence
• Conduct necessary computer forensics for cases like intellectual property theft, harassment, fraud, policy violation, and code of business ethics cases
• Provide assistance for mail file reviews and e-mail tracing as needed in support of investigations
• Provide technical support to Human Resources and Accenture Legal & Commercial offices in conducting internal investigations
• Coordinate with groups involved in responding to intrusions
• Conduct follow-up investigations to network incidents
• Conduct forensic examinations of Accenture computers, mobile devices, and mail files in support of CIRT investigations
• Triage cases coming to CIRT
• Perform cyber incident investigations, determining the cause of the security incident and appropriately preserving evidence for potential legal action
• Perform detailed forensic analysis on writable media, including hard disks, external drives, and mobile phones
• Assess artifacts and close incident vulnerability as appropriate
• Preserve technical evidence as appropriate
• Analyze potential infrastructure security incidents to determine if an incident qualifies as a legitimate security breach
