Christian Mental Health Therapist

About This Role

This mental health therapist role involves diagnosing and treating psychological disorders, teaching communication skills, and guiding adolescent residents and their families through crises within a Christian worldview. The caseload is limited to a maximum of 15 boys in residence, and the position suits an experienced therapist passionate about providing high-quality care and mental health solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake assessments
• Provide mental health therapy for individuals, couples, families, and children
• Create individualized program plans for each client
• Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual sessions
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of resident information and progress plan
• Perform regular wellness checks
• Adhere to all facility and licensing standards

Requirements

• Master's level degree in counseling, social work, or similar field, to include Florida licensure in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certified (can be obtained during onboarding)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized
• Critical thinking skills, willing to challenge residents and families when necessary
